Deb Domingos is a watercolor artist and instructor who resides on Long Island's beautiful south shore. After studying fine art and art education at LIU, C.W.Post, she landed at Brookhaven Free Library where she devoted herself to promoting literacy to children through books, art and music for 31 years. She retired in May 2017 and has been joyfully painting and teaching watercolor to adults.
Inspiration for her painting comes directly from the rhythms and forms found in nature both on land and under the sea. Frequent subjects include seascapes, landscapes, fish, birds and floral compositions. While recent work has been in watercolor, Deb is no stranger to printmaking, pastel and acrylic painting.
She is active in the art community participating in both solo and group shows. She is a member of the South Bay Art Association, Thirty Squared, Patchogue Art Council and was a featured cover artist in Dan's Papers ( April 30, 2021 ).
